Wyoming winters are long... And we love it that way!

Club

We are all about winter sports

The Cheyenne Ski Club has been shredding the slopes since 1959 and is a designated Historic Ski Club by the Far West Ski Association. Our members enjoy downhill, cross-country, and alpine touring (sometimes all on the same day) on overnight and day trips in Southeastern Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and beyond.

Our mission is three-fold:

  1. To promote interest and increased participation in winter sports activities;
  2. To promote increased safety in those activities; and,
  3. To have fun together.

Full Moon Hike

January 10, 2026

On January 2, 2026, we had a Full Moon hike at Tie City, in Medicine Bow National Park. It was a great time and the weather calm and perfect for the evening. The moon was beautiful and bright, definitely worth the trip! The Warming Hut was toasty, and hot drinks welcomed after the hike. The Next Full Moon Hike or Nordic ski is March 1, 2026, same place (Tie City), and time (7:30 p.m.).
