Our goal has always been to provide you an excellent trip at a reasonable cost.  We feel we've done pretty well. But it becomes clear that with the size of our club, it's tough to put together something like a week-long trip or an air travel trip. To solve this problem, we've joined the newly-formed Intermountain Ski Council, a group of ski clubs in Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming.  View their mission statement. The Council, in turn, is one of several councils making up the National Ski Council Federation.   There are over 250,000 people in the individual clubs across the nation that are represented by this group.

With a larger size, it's feasible to have larger trips, longer trips, better rates for lodging, and better discounts on lift tickets for Council activities.  What this means to us in Cheyenne is that more trips are available to us as members of the Council.  For instance, you could go on the Council's inaugural trip to
Snowbasin and Powder Mountain on February 22-24, 2008.  Lift ticket and lodging rates are shown on their webpage.  The prices can't be beat!

As part of this affiliation, we also become part of the
Far West Ski Association. This even larger group has an extensive summer and winter travel calendar. This year's slate includes Whistler, Alaska, Europe, China, and the Greek Islands.  See what awaits you in years to come?

Keep an eye on these opportunities for next season as the Council matures!

Another option for skiing different venues that our club can't offer due to distance or time constraints is a group called
Singles Travel International. Geared for single and solo travelers, they provide a new approach to ski trips.  Since participants live in all parts of the country, your job is to get to the destiantion on your own. After that, they take over, providing lodging (with roommate matching as to sex and age group), ground transportation, lift tickets, most meals, and loads of parties to get acquainted.  Most trips are week-long.  For a sense of their prices, how about 7 nights' lodging, 4 days tix at Jackson, parties, ground transportation, travel insurance, happy hours, and all taxes and gratuities for $1060?  Details are here

We've been lucky to have had the unstinting support of two fine credit unions for the last several years.  Please consider them for any of your financial needs - checking, savings, mortgages and other loans, financial services and more.  As a member of the Cheyenne Ski Club, you automatically meet their membership requirements.
