Wyoming winters are long... And we love it that way!

Club

We are all about winter sports

The Cheyenne Ski Club has been shredding the slopes since 1959 and is a designated Historic Ski Club by the Far West Ski Association. Our members enjoy downhill, cross-country, and alpine touring (sometimes all on the same day) on overnight and day trips in Southeastern Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and beyond.

Our mission is three-fold:

  1. To promote interest and increased participation in winter sports activities;
  2. To promote increased safety in those activities; and,
  3. To have fun together.

Notes from December 5th, 2024 Gathering

December 10, 2024

We welcome back past ski club members Kimberly Mazza and Jonna Hilzer-Dickie. Both recently moved back from Casper.

Becky and Marta gave a report on buying Christmas presents for 2 boys.  The 2 were selected for us by a social service organization. $400 came close to buying what the boys wanted.  Anyone can go to the First United Methodist Church gift unwrapping event on Friday 12-20-24.  We will also offer to help the boys for a ski outing to Snowy Range, when the club goes there.

Art gave a report on Snow Mtn. Ranch trip which will be Jan. 21 to 24.  There is room for 2 more in the cabin;  then people will have to stay at their lodge.  2 meals are included in the $150. fee. The fee includes cross country trail fees at SMR. Some of the participants may ski at Mary Jane/Winterpark, Granby for an added fee.

We want to pick a new date for the Tie City parking lot cross country ski event.

Also we need to pick a date for a full moon ski outing. Full moons will be Mon.1-13-24.  Wed. 2-12. Fri. 3-14. Sat. 4-12. Let us know dates that are good! Tentatively we have Jan. 11 picked.
